Our Vision & Mission

The Vision of Churchman Chapel Ministries is to change lives, make disciples, and show everybody they exist for a purpose.  We believe each person is made in the image of God, and has the potential to make a difference in this world.  While our main purpose is to worship and glorify God, we believe this begins with our Mission of Preaching The Cross to the Hurting and the Lost.

Leadership Team:

Our leaders (James 3:1; 1 Timothy 3) desire personal holiness and accountability, repentance, healing, and restoration.  Whenever you fall into sin, as pastoral leaders we are eager to walk with you, to help you amend your life and to walk in the light (1 John 1:5-8).

Pastor Travis & Carissa Billings
They have been happily married since 1994. They have 3 children: Casel (Rebekah), Trenton, Lydia (Carlos).  They have also been foster parents for countless youth since 2004. Carissa is a licensed cosmetologist, and has been since 2012.  She loves to make people feel pretty inside and out.  While she acknowledges that beauty on the outside is important, she believes the beauty within us all is more important.  People look at the outside, but The Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).  Travis earned his Master’s in Social Work in 2019 and feels as if each person has value and can bring something to the table for other’s.

Travis & Carissa have been pastors at Churchman Chapel since 2006.  They previously served as Youth Ministers for a total of 5 years in Louisville and Elizabethtown.  They also previously served as Youth Pastor of the River City Love Squad.
Travis earned his credentials originally through Berean School of The Bible and Global University.  He is currently an ordained minister with Church Growth International.
